She loves to spend quality time with her husband and four children. Shaughn is "owned" by two lovable pitbulls, Hulk and Saphire, and a very shy kitty named Stanlee!
April is a dog lover at heart and spends quality time taking care of the pups for doggy day care. She is married and enjoys spending time with her husband and making decorative wine bottles in her spare time. April has two of her own special dogs, Herkimer the pitbull and a super cute American Bulldog pup named Hagrid!
James Nutter is a certified professional dog trainer and certified behavior consultant. He has hundreds of hours of experience with dog training and behavior and is able to offer valuable information and education in need of a helping hand. Whether your pet is overly energetic, nervous or perceived as agressive, James can help. James is also a groomer, he will be grooming at the Wash & Wag Center on Tuesdays and Saturdays by appointment and can be reached at 234-567-3798. James grooms dogs and cats, small to tall he grooms them all!
Jessica Nutter (James's Sister) is a certified professional dog trainer, and also a dog sitter, and groomer.
Puppies and Dogs new to North East Dog Training, LLC must meet with an instructor prior to week of Group Class. Instructors will cover valuable life skills, problem solve behavior concerns, assess your dog, and get you prepared for Week 1 of class. Prepare to be here approximately 1 1/2 hours. Introductory Consultation is available by appointment for $40.00.
Dates: Puppy Class is a Continuous Program for 5 weeks on Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. for $60.00.
We will focus on the fundamentals of canine socialization and manners. We will problem solve common puppy concerns, and get the puppies working towards a knowledge of the Basic Obedience cues. This a very fun and interactive class.
*Humans Only on Week 1
*Puppies must be under 20 weeks of age to be eligible
Conformation Class (Using Positive Reinforcement)
Dates: Monday - November 7, 14, 21, 28 and December 5 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Monday - November 7, 14, 21, 28 and December 5 from from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for $60.00.
Conformation class will walk you through the ins and outs of showing your own dog using positive reinforcement methods. This is a must try for anyone thinking of entering the show ring!
Dates: Wednesday - November 2, 9, 16, 23*, 30 and December 7 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for $60.00.
* Class may decide if they would like November 23rd off due to the Holiday.
Beginners Class is for dogs of any size and age, so long as they are not aggressive to humans or other dogs. Dogs will learn and sophisticate on: Sit, Down, Come-When-Called, Loose Leash Walking, Heeling, Standing in Place, Door Manners, and more!
**Dogs New to NEDT must meet with and Instructor prior to week 1 of class.
Hands-Off Obedience Skills
Dates: Saturday - November 5, 12, 19, 26 and December 3 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for $130.00.
Hands-Off Obedience Skills will focus an enormous amount of effort into getting voluntary cooperation from your dog in all facets of Obedience. Dogs must have a fundamental understanding of the 4-step Cuing Program, and Owners need a solid understanding of the 4-Step Cuing Program. What is the 4-Step Cuing Program? We cover it in every single group class!!! Dogs will need to be able to work in close proximity to other dogs dogs in motion.
Puppy & Beginners Agility Class
Dates: Sunday - November 6, 13, 20, 27 and December 4, 11, 18 for $130.00.
If you are a new-comer to the Agility world, or if you have a new baby kicking off it's Agility Career, this class will be ideal to set the fundamental skills needed for a lifelong Agility Career competing in todays more international style Agility Competitions.
Beginners II Agility Class
Dates: Friday - November 4, 11, 18, 25, and December 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for $130.00.
We will continue to work on small real-life sequences, and begin to focus on some of the technical aspects of Agility that will take your from a Q to a Placement.
Intermediate Agility Class
Dates: Friday - November 4, 11, 18, 25, and December 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for $130.00.
The time has come!! We will be combining Contact Obstacles into handling sequences!
For those humans or dogs that cannot attend group class; whether it be schedule conflict, or special needs, we can help. Private classes can be purchased in packages of 3 or 4, running from $175-$200. The first consult is typically 2 hours of one-on-one time, followed by 1 to 1 1/2 hour visits. Behavior Modification (fear, reactivity, food/toy agression): 3 sessions for $325.
Consults are scheduled to fit your calendar, and tailored to fit your dogs particular needs.
